Tape Jointing and Plastering for Drywall

Taping and Jointing

High-quality taping and jointing prepares plasterboard for painting and decoration by creating a smooth finish. Taping and jointing is the process of covering and reinforcing the seams between plasterboard to prepare a wall for decoration. Joint tape is used to cover the gaps between the plaster and is covered with jointing compound to strengthen the joints and prevent cracks from appearing.

Our specialist team uses specific tools and machinery to save on labour costs and ensure that we consistently produce perfectly finished drywalls. Our work is completed to a strict standard of excellence using only the best materials. We use products manufactured by British Gypsum and Knauf (the same suppliers that we use for drywalls) to give the best finish possible.

Plastering

Plastering serves two important functions, firstly it contributes significantly to the air-tight performance of the wall, and secondly, it creates a smooth, inert surface for interior walls. Different plaster products will also assist with fire resistance and insulation against heat and sound.

Many of the contracts that we are awarded include plastering which means our highly skilled operatives have many years of experience in this specialist field. Our team has the necessary expertise to plaster large areas, as well as being able to successfully navigate more complicated, intricate jobs.

Among the more frequently requested plastering techniques, we offer ‘two-coat’ and ‘float and set’ plastering. Two coat plastering Float and set refers to the traditional style of plastering which requires a wet undercoat or a browning/bonding coat.
